In a year where we have so much to be thankful for, I think I am the most grateful for Silas' requests to use the potty. We didn't even ask him if he wanted to use it. He just ran up to me one day last week and announced that he needed to go poop and wanted to use the big boy potty. I about fell off my chair. We rushed to the bathroom and took off his diaper so that he could have two really good farts and declared, "Mom I pooped!" Since that fateful night we have much more productive trips to the potty. We are both excited and scared and in a little bit of shock that our little noodle is so grown up. Next thing I know he will be starting school. ARGH! I don't want to think about it. Take some time this week be thankful for the small things.
